Passion & Precision
“Growing up and mountaineering in the beautiful landscape of Iran, I was always fascinated by animal trails. My favourite is the mountain goat for its wisdom in choosing a path.
Although I came to Canada as a computer software engineer, nature continued to call and led me to become a trail builder here. My training in mathematics has been a great asset for many aspects of my work, such as creating graceful curves with unyielding materials in often daunting terrain. I love the puzzle of it all and spending time outdoors.
I am deeply grateful to be living and working on the unceded territory of Coast Salish First Nations of Salt Spring Island who continue to use and steward this magnificent part of the earth. I strive to respect this land while rearranging its surface, and wherever possible use salvaged, site-sourced, or tide-brought lumber and stone.”
